AUSTRALIA

02/2010 - now: self employed

Analyst Programmer.

Creation of a business dedicated to Enterprise Open Source Software (ERP, Business Intelligence, Group-ware, Cloud Computing).

03/2008 - 01/2010: Ordermate – Melbourne VIC

Analyst Programmer.

Responsible for developing new features for Java based advanced Point Of Sale application, including a stock control. The position involves design, development, testing and implementation. A large panel of technology is used with Java SE, Swing and RMI. I am currently working on the Enterprise version using EJB, JPA and JMS. I did also some small projects using Web Services and simple Web pages. (Java SE/EE, Swing, RMI, JMS, JPA, EJB, JSF, JAX-WS, Tomcat, GlassFish).



05/2007 – 03/2008: Woods Accident Repair Centres – Melbourne VIC

IT Officer.

My main duties were IT support, troubleshooting computer hardware, software and network, on site (20 branches) or over the phone. This position was an excellent first step in the Australian workplace and contributed to improve my English skills. I was also using my Java EE programming skills to create statistical and geographical data analysis (Java EE, JSF, JPA).



FRANCE

10/2005 - 11/2006: AMI-WEB - Nice – France

Project Manager.

Management of the full activity of a Real Estate software edition. Responsible for customer relations (300 agencies), sales, hot line, programming (Windev), billing, advertising and a team of one sales representative, one programmer and a Web designer.

One key achievement was putting into production a new version of the software including many improvements with an extremely positive feedback from customers. This project was an excellent opportunity to be involved in Web technologies and marketing with successful new offers. The in-depth work involved in this position brought more dynamic and structured commercial methods.

Project Manager (since 1995), Analyst Programmer (1990 - 1994)

Responsible for a team of 2 to 7 analyst-programmers, a system engineer and a training manager. My main duties were the design and the implementation of customer solutions including numerous associated tasks: pre-sales, quotation, specification, planning, analysis, architecture, conception, implementation, training, maintenance, support and consulting.

This experience was extremely valuable and gave me a broad understanding of Software Engineering in a Small and Medium Business environment. I have acquired the ability to understand customer needs, as well as a good ability to manage a team and drive a quality project within time and budget constraints. I had contacts with all levels of business including executive management.
